“I’m not a painter of things, as much as the space between them” - Sean Friloux

Sean Friloux is interested in the feeling we get when we look at masterwork paintings created a century ago, its overwhelming how we can connect with them as they come from a different time and culture. Based on my observation I taught myself to create work that strives to do the same.

Friloux, living and working in New Orleans is accomplished in mediums including watercolor PleinAir paintings and graphite drawings. Sean’s collectors are worldwide and locals alike. He has done major commission work for prominent businesses and several private collections. Sean and his work have been featured in PleinAir Magazine and Watercolor Artist Magazine. Please see here

Private Lessons

I offer private lessons. I currently have been teaching PleinAir on Mondays 9am-12pm in Audubon Park. It’s a very nice environment to setup in a comfortable setting. There are subjects such as water features, Oak trees, Statues “Fountains” and also St. Charles Ave. for a streetcar scene.

You can bring any medium you feel comfortable with. Watercolor, pastels, oil, acrylic and drawing.

The fee is $60 per student, per class, payable each 3 hour class.
